    Position Summary: 
    We are always seeking well rounded Stock & Equity Administration and Management professionals to join our pool of highly skilled, knowledgeable consultants.  CEP’s with a minimum of six (6) years of a combined knowledge and experience based that includes (but not limited to) stock plan administration, equity compensation and reporting, domestic and international taxation, SOX Compliance, legal and treasury backgrounds with both private and public companies are preferred. 
    Required Skills:

    • Equity Compensation and Administration

    • Knowledge of Equity Accounting

    • Microsoft Office Suite – mid to advanced

    • Excel – Mid-level required; advanced preferred

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives  

    • Demonstrated track record in people management required

    • Project management skills

    • Strong customer focus and ability to effectively interact with all levels of Sr. & Executive Management and employees.

    • Team player with a collaborative style who can take works well with colleagues and vendors.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively to express information both written and oral context.


    • Bachelor's degree in related field with related experience in global equity required; Master's degree in related field preferred

    • Extensive experience with equity compensation instruments and plans, including stock options, RSA, RSUs, ESPPs and other equity instruments

    • Certification in related discipline preferred (e.g., CPA, CEP Level I is required, Level II or III is preferred)

    Compensation and other requirements:

    • Pay rate will be based upon your level of experience and/or the type of assignment or service being provided.  All assignments are performed on behalf of SEC, however work is generally self-guided with adherence to established patters ad practices as defined by SEC’s client.  MUST have dependable transportation and be willing to travel (in and around the San Francisco Bay area and West Coast territories) to and from the client’s offices.

    Compliance Notice:
    Notice about Assembly Bill (AB) 5. AB 5 was signed into law in September of 2019, it specifically addressed the “employment status” of workers when they are claimed to be an independent contractor and not an employee.
    AB 5 requires the application of the “ABC test” to determine if workers in California are employees or independent contractors for purposes of the Labor Code, the Unemployment Insurance Code, and the Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) wage orders. Under the ABC test, a worker is considered an employee and not an independent contractor, unless the hiring entity satisfies all three of the following conditions:

    • The worker is free from the control and direction of the hiring entity in connection with the performance of the work, both under the contract for the performance of the work and in fact;

    • The worker performs work that is outside the usual course of the hiring entity’s business; and
