All three children graduated from Heritage High School, and eventually college. All are doing well in their careers.
In 2009 Denise started her insurance career with Farmers Insurance and opened Cosgrove Insurance in Brentwood. Building a business and raising a family in Brentwood has strengthened the ties to this amazing city and community and increased Denise’s desire to give back and help other business owners and fellow citizens.

Her moto is “No business man/woman is an Island” and being a part of the Chamber has opened doors, opportunities and resources that need to be shared with other business owners.

Katie Ramsey
Has been a dedicated business owner in the Brentwood area since 2015, beginning with her mobile spray tanning business. In 2018, she expanded her vision by opening the Body Bar Sunless Spa & Suites, a brick-and-mortar establishment in the Balfour Plaza shopping center on Balfour Road. The Body Bar not only serves as the home for Katie's sunless business but also houses six salon suites where licensed beauticians provide a range of services, including nails, hair, waxing, facials, and more.
Katie’s expertise in the sunless tanning industry earned her the prestigious role of educator for Norvell Sunless, one of the nation's largest sunless tanning manufacturers. Under her guidance, the Body Bar was designated a Norvell Salon Academy, making it the only salon in Northern California with the distinction of offering private, one-on-one training for aspiring business owners entering the sunless tanning industry.
In 2023, Katie and her husband expanded their entrepreneurial efforts by opening a UV tanning and wellness salon to replace a previous business in the community.
