A Note From Our President

Dear Members of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce,

I absolutely love the month of May. Flowers are blooming, the days are warmer, we celebrate our moms, and it's getting even closer to U-Pick Season. Be sure to visit our member, Harvest Time Brentwood, for more details on the upcoming cherry season: https://harvestforyou.com/.

We are almost halfway through the year, so May gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect on our achievements thus far and to set new goals for the future.

The first four months of 2024 have been jam-packed with ribbon cuttings, mixers, and events. We would like to thank you, our members, for coming out in full force this year. We are loving the support, and together we are sending a clear message that the business community in Brentwood is strong, supportive, and community-focused.

Since our first meeting in 2024, your Chamber Board of Directors has been working hard to create new programs, revamp some current ones, and provide new opportunities to help you grow your business. Throughout the Spring and Summer, we will begin unveiling these new programs to you.

Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and we have a number of Chamber members that provide goods and services perfect for moms, grandmas, aunts, mothers of your children, mom figures in your life, etc. Visit our Chamber directory to find the perfect gift for the women special to you: https://business.brentwoodchamber.com/list.

In closing, I want to express my sincere gratitude to my Board of Directors and, in particular, our President-Elect Adam Martinez, CFO Jayne Oertwig, and Office Admin Melisa Hanson. In April, my family suffered a terrible loss, and I had to shift my focus from Chamber work to family. Adam, Jayne, Melisa, and my entire Board of Directors took the reins and kept everything running smoothly in my absence. Knowing they had everything covered allowed me to support my family without having to worry that Chamber business was falling through the cracks. I will be forever grateful for their support. They are an amazing team, and their dedication and commitment to the Chamber has been the catalyst for the success I have witnessed these last four months. Thank you, Adam, Jayne, Denise D, Denise C, Katie, Kristy, Perry, Tony, Tanya, John, Greg, Roberta, Erika, Rebecca, and Melisa.

So, as we begin the month of May, take the time to reflect on your goals for 2024 - how are you doing? Do you need to pivot as you prepare for the second half of the year? How can the Chamber support you in your business goals? We are here to help and to celebrate you.

In Service,

Karri Reiser
